The special blend of these medias work synergistically to attack and capture a full array of contaminates that may be present in your drinking water. The large volume and proper balance of each media account for overall water filtering effectiveness in a large range of applications. Each media type is certified by NSF® for its performance and safety.

Recyclable

Although every CP-1000 is built with only new, virgin media direct from the manufacturers, it is nice to know that our carbon-based medias can be reclaimed after they have reached their absorption capacity. Performed by carbon recycling companies, the carbon granules can be reactivated and used for other applications.

Earth-Friendly Coconut Shells

Our micro-filtration stage utilizes premium-grade activated carbon that is manufactured in Mexico from coconut shells, a highly renewable resource. The coconut tree produces coconuts three times a year and the tree itself is always left to produce again. In addition, our coconut shell carbon is made in kilns to char the coconut shells instead of the traditional pit charring which emits large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Capturing the carbon dioxide in the kiln reduces emissions up to 90% from traditional methods. This is just one of the reasons the CP-1000 can be considered a "green" product.
