Advantage Over Reverse Osmosis (RO)

Cost / Environment / Health

Compared to Reverse Osmosis Systems, the CP-1000 Premium Central Water Purification System is the lower cost, lower maintenance, eco-friendly filtration system. It will provide purified water throughout your home or business, will not produce waste water, will have minimal impact on water pH and while tackling harmful heavy metals, it will maintain trace levels of the beneficial minerals.

There is no doubt that RO systems provide clean, purified water for the consumer or business owner, but these filtration systems come with several disadvantages. In the world today, it is important to be conscious of not only the lifetime cost of a system but also the impact on the environment. RO filtration systems are typically more expensive than media-based water purification systems, especially for whole-house applications. For this reason, most RO systems only supply water to a single tap. They also require the regular replacement of the costly filter membrane and any other cartridges in the system. RO filtration systems are also less eco-friendly as they produce waste water.

In order to produce 5 gallons of treated water per day an RO unit may discharge 40 to 90 gallons of waste water to the sewer or septic system. In addition to these concerns, RO will also strip the water of all its beneficial minerals (such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, and copper) and will also lower the water’s pH. Both traits could be cause for serious health concerns over the long term. Compared to RO, the CP-1000 Premium Central Water Purification System is the lower cost, lower maintenance, eco-friendly filtration system.
